Deadline Warner Bros has changed course and just released a pristine version of the sizzle reel for Suicide Squad shown during the studio’s Hall H presentation at Comic Con on Saturday. Someone in the crowd recorded footage that was meant solely for show attendees, and posted a lousy quality version online. Yesterday, Sue Kroll, the studio’s president of Worldwide Marketing and International Distribution, told Deadline that the leak was a breach of trust the studio enjoyed with the Comic Con faithful, but because the film is still in production, the studio wouldn’t release a better version. Likely after seeing the lousy pirated version gain viral traction, Kroll has changed her mind.
Boom.
We saw the same logic when the first grainy Batman v Superman preview leaked and only hours later Warner gave us the HD version. Again thanks to some clever spies in attendance for the big reveal, the whole world gets a preview of DC’s Suicide Squad.
There’s been enough leaked behind the scenes shots that told us the Joker would play a prominent role in this movie but even with that knowledge it was awesome to get a glimpse of the next Joker in this ‘post-Ledger’ world.
The real MVP in this one is going to be Margot Robbie. DC slinging sex appeal with the jokers equally insane side piece is a good way to protect itself if the movie otherwise sucks. Hopefully they don’t screw this one up, make Suicide Squad rated R and let Margot channel her inter Wolf of Wall Street smut…

While we can hope Marvel follows suit and gives us a better quality Deadpool trailer, it looks like that may take a little more time…
