The Penguins Are Wearing Their Sexy Black & Gold Uni’s For the Playoffs

Penguins.com The Pittsburgh Penguins will wear their “Pittsburgh Gold” uniforms for all home games during the Stanley Cup playoffs and will distribute gold t-shirts and rally towels to create a “Gold Rush” at CONSOL Energy Center.

The “Pittsburgh Gold” design has been the Penguins’ third jersey for the past two seasons. It is virtually identical to the black-and-gold design the Penguins wore during the 1980s and in the Stanley Cup championship seasons of 1990-91 and 1991-92.

The Penguins open the playoffs on Wednesday when they host the New York Rangers at 8 p.m.

Pittsburgh Gold t-shirts and towels will be distributed to all fans attending each playoff home game.

Well there you have it folks, make sure your June calendar is rather flexible because there is going to be a parade you’ll want to attend.

This one is going to be even better than the last because today the Penguins announced they will be going with their sexed up Black and Gold uni’s for home games.

Is it too late for Geno to grow out his Jagr-Mullet so we can recreate all sorts of fun photos from the 1991 & 1992 championships?

The puck drops for game 1 vs the Rangers Wednesday at 8:00.
